The innovation and investment group of Castrol has teamed up with CarVue to help accelerate the adoption of CarVue’s cloud-based workshop management system by independent workshops around the globe. With its headquarters in Reading, UK, CarVue’s service allows users to sign up and manage all aspects of a busy automotive workshop business online, including appointment scheduling, managing customer vehicle and contact databases, invoicing, and financial reporting. CarVue’s simple cloud-based system brings the business of running a workshop into the digital world.
“Empowering the consumer to make the right choices about their auto care has been at the heart of Castrol ever since it was young company itself,” says Jonathan Tudor, Ventures Director, innoVentures. “Helping our customers in the automotive industry serve people more efficiently is an important part of Castrol’s own future. Being part of that change alongside CarVue will help both our companies.”
Companies that use CarVue experience improved workshop productivity, better visibility into their business operations, and increased sales. For Basingstoke-based independent service and repair garage A Welsh Motors using CarVue’s MOT and service reminders has resulted in a 20% increase in their business volume.
Unlike many software products, CarVue doesn’t require extensive IT investment; it’s accessed directly from a web browser on a desktop, smart phone or tablet without the need for software installation or ongoing support.
“The independent workshop sector has been traditionally underserved when it comes to sophisticated garage management systems,” says Carl Lightfoot, Managing Director CarVue. “By partnering with Castrol innoVentures, CarVue is uniquely positioned to accelerate our product vision and deliver a new generation of productivity tools to a vibrant global market.”
The past year has been spent finalising the product and testing it in Europe and Asia where CarVue’s first customers are located. With the support of Castrol, CarVue will be launched throughout the rest of Europe and the USA during 2015.
CarVue is the revolutionary new cloud-based application for workshops, garages, and mechanics anywhere in the world. It’s a simple and smart application that means you won’t need expensive servers, software upgrades or training to run your business. Ever. www.carvue.com
